Hello, My name is Linda Valentine and I've been a member of MindFreedom since 1996. David Oaks encouraged and helped me start RAPS (Relatives & Allies of Psychiatric Survivors), a branch of MindFreedom. This group of wonderful allies, parents, significant others has grown throughout the years. We connect, share, email, keep in touch and many of us have even united at one time or should I say relocated and lived in the same area in order to keep our young adult children out of the hands of psychiatry and it's horrendous, poisonous treatments including IOC and Prison. I still get many calls and try to share valuable information with the person in crisis because of the system that seems to take away parental rights and harm our loved ones.
