Hello and ideas needed from Pgh PA
Hello all,I am a new member to mindfreedom and am so relieved to have found this site! I am a survivor, of course, my most common label, (though given quite a lot over the years, often contradicting) is bipolar...But I just kinda laugh..I told my doctor I thinkI am really tri-polar and asked for a pill forthat one...luckily he has sense of humor and just laughed.
looking for friends and support, people who try to be positive despite all we've seen and experienced and been though, which is usually such heavy stuff. I do have the need to keep things lighter at times...i like movies, music, cooking and I practice and teach yoga which has helped me much in taking less medicines. I really recommend it.
I think its important that we support each other in finding our ways to happier, healthier lives, some of us have to "recreate" families and supports and that is a challenge.
This seems like a good forum to connect and share ideas, so hoping to meet some folks...
Also I am requesting some help with a project, I have a B.A. in writing and i have just completed a book of memoirs, narratives an poetry that ends with a lot of facts on they system and how it is broken. it gives some suggestions on what could possibly be done to change and also touches a lot on God and spirituality in helping us through.
I am overwhelmed at finding a publisher, so if anyone has been published, knows aLit. agent etc please contact me. It is very imporant to bring more attention to changing this system and end suffering. The book was sometimes very difficult to write but is done and needs to be out there..i would appreciate any good leads, would like to start out with big publishers first, but they are hard to get thgough to. I beieve thiswould bring some good, compassionate attention, maybe change to our causes and mf itself..
thank you and blessings,
Christina
