Hi, I just recently found mindfreedom and am relieved people are speaking up and supporting eachother on here... i am a survivor of course, though dealing with some residual damages. I miss laughing and being light and carefree, I know that is a dificulty for many of us having been through such heavy things.
Anyway lookingfor some people to chat with get to know and support each other in ways to make life happier, better and safer for us.
I have completed a book recently of memoirs, poetry and essays that tells my very compelling story. so relieved to have finished it, alot was difficult to write.. it ends with a lot of facts about mental health care/pharmacology, reasons the system is so broken and what may be able to done to change it.. i need some help in looking for a publisher. It is overwhelming to me and I;m not sure where to start. If anyone has been published and/or has any leads on this I would really appreciate it.. I may need a Lit. agent, would like to try for big publishers first, because I believe the stroy and subject matter are so important for change...
I also teach and practice yoga, that has been very helpful in taking less medication..I recommend it to all.
I enjoy movies, nature, music, humor (sometimes sarcasticlol) hope to hear from some of you
