I was wondering if anyone had suggestions. Ever since I was diagnosed I have been more curious about brain disorders and factors which cause them--which I've realized are various. Is there a common element which we are over-looking?

What causes excitability? Stress? Could free radical damage be causing stress in the nerves, causing mental disorders? There are some elements which I feel a draw to- Histamine for one. The effects of certain anti-histamines can cause delusions, so could stress-triggered histamine deficiencies cause the disorder?

Is schizophrenia more like a stress-disorder? Or is it different?

I was hoping I could get some advice on how to research medications and alternatives, and become a pioneer in the development of psychiatric drugs which are more beneficial and also which are safer for the body.

If more scientists focused on the biological aspect of medications, and educated the public on possible alternative causes then we'd have less sick people.
