IF YOU REQUEST A COPY OF . . .

On Wednesday - March 31, 2010 I had a visitor. While conversing with the individual, I mentioned that I had requested my medical records from several sources. I was informed that in so doing, an automatic red flag goes up. The individual informed me that when a person requests medical records it is automatically assumed a possible lawsuit is in the making. This individual works in the medical field.
It was suggested that I not persue my records. My records date back beyond the two year statute of limitations in Michigan, and I can do nothing! So, what is their problem? Has anyone else run into this situation? According to the booklet provided in Michigan, I do have access to my medical records. Everyone has been very co-operative and I now have a complete set of my medical/mental health records. I suppose I'll never understand why they call them health records!
In my own situation, during the overdrugging and ECT, I experienced numerous physical problems. I think I must have gone through every invasive test they could perform. I was okay physically before a traumatic experience occurred in my life, at which time I was placed on a drug regimen. The prescribed drug side effects were impossible, I became much worse. As the condition worsened more drugs were added, making my life worthless (in my own eyes). Thus, ECT was added and the psychiatrist accepted my signature (any additional information was filled in by someone else) as "informed consent" even though I was drugged. The ECT was started because they determined that "I WASN'T RESPONDING TO DRUG THERAPY". I wonder why! "I was then living a life of side effects, it had become impossible to get better!" Now that I am basically off the prescribed psych drugs (just one pill to go), I am fine once again. I am taking NO medication for physical ailments of any kind.
Can anyone tell me if ECT has ever been administered to a "UN-DRUGGED" individual for major depression (mine was drug induced)? I would be interested in any information you might be able to provide. A date had been set for me to meet with my State Senator in order to present my questions, and provide him with as much information as I can get him to accept.
At this point in my life, I am willing to witness and expose documentation for anyone who might need assistance in their own pursuit for justice.
